Oct 1, 2019

Today’s guest on the podcast is New York Times bestselling author Chris McDougall. Best known for his book, Born to Run, Chris set out on an adventure to locate one of the worlds oldest indigenous tribes and see how they are able to accomplish amazing feats of endurance while not utilizing any technology or advancements from the modern world.  What he discovered was nothing short of astonishing and the book lives to tell the tale.

Throughout his career, Chris has become a great advocate for changing the way we think about running, our diets and health in general and turning back more to our ancestral roots to see why some of the modern ailments and illnesses plague us today.

He has had an incredible influence on the running community at large and continues to put out incredible work, including his book Natural Born Heroes and his newest book which is set to release in October titled Running with Sherman.

In today's interview we discuss Chris’ experience that led him to write his book, the lessons he learned from his experiences in the Copper Canyons and how he applies that to his life now, the common misconceptions around running and much more!
